Maybe the World Needed a Break.

Maybe the world needed a break.

Maybe a momentary pause in the frantic pace we've made out to be normal is exactly what will save us.

Maybe our lack of self-reflection for the sake of production necessitated a freeze.

Maybe the pressure to run both head-first into distractions and squarely away from all issues has caught up with us.

Maybe our incessant cries for "more time," and our chronic neglect for our health and our rest beckoned the planet to step in.

Maybe Mother Earth was exasperated.

We had accumulated more and more unaddressed bullshit, adding them to a bag-turned-anchor like trophies we can't throw out—but instead polishing and parading around as if we're proud of our problems.

Maybe this is Spring Cleaning for our souls.

Maybe this is the time out we desperately needed but refused to impose ourselves.
Maybe this is the time to turn around, look inward, and ask some serious questions.

Maybe this is the time to figure out what we've been running from.

Maybe this is the time to ask what we really wish to run towards.

Maybe this is an opportunity.

Maybe the world needed a break—a moment in time to reflect on what we—both as individuals and as a whole—are really doing here.

Maybe we can seize this moment in our lives, take the time that has now been given to us in abundance, and learn to make the most of the rest of our lives.
